An Introduction to Play Therapy
With Pauline Kiernan M.A. (Psych), Dip. Play Therapy
Play Therapy helps children work through emotional, social and behavioural difficulties and helps address family problems. It uses the medium of play, rather than talk, to help the child learn to express themselves, explore and make sense of the world in which they live and resolve any difficult or painful experiences.
Pauline holds a B.A. and M.A. in Psychology from U.C.D. and a Diploma in Play Therapy from the Children’s Therapy Centre in Westmeath. She is currently studying for a Masters degree in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy and Play Therapy at the Children’s Therapy Centre. Pauline has over 20 years experience working in family support in a variety of settings.
