AISTEAR IMPLEMENTATION TOOLKIT
This toolkit will support practitioners to carry out Aistear assessments, extend learning and curriculum plans.
This toolkit should be used with your Aistear book, available from www.ncca.ie.
Aistear Assessments should be carried out alongside developmental observations.
For example if you are carrying out a developmental observation each 8 weeks – the weeks between should focus on Aistear Assessments.
There is no golden number to how often you should carry these out. The paperwork required for carrying out developmental observation can be purchased here.
We recommend that these two products are used together.
