Exploring Outdoors Play Online Training €48
This practical online training aims to get you inspired and thinking about imaginative and creative outdoors play.
While playing outside, children explore with all their senses, they witness new life, they create imaginary worlds and they negotiate with each other to create a playful environment.
Course Objectives
- To give Early Year's practitioners the confidence to try something new
- To inspire Early Year's practitioners to take the children outside, whatever the weather
- To inspire Early Year's practitioners to create environments, games and activities however limited their budget may be!
The training includes a thought provoking interview from psychologist Professor Peter Gray where he comments on:
- The decline in free play outdoors and how it is detrimental to children
- What happens to children’s development if they are restricted from exploring the outdoor environment freely
- What are the benefits to children if they are provided with the means to pursue their own interests in a safe outdoor setting?
